Age, Health & Booking Policy

At Haleemah Thai Massage, your safety and wellbeing are our highest priorities.
This policy outlines important health considerations and booking terms to ensure a safe and professional experience for all guests.

1. Age Policy & Supervision

Adults
Guests must be 18 years or older to receive treatment independently.

Minors
Guests under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Safety Requirement
For the protection of minors, a parent or legal guardian must remain present in the treatment room during the entire service.
Haleemah reserves the right to decline treatment if appropriate supervision is not provided.

2. Professional Conduct (Zero Tolerance)

Haleemah maintains a strictly professional wellness environment at all times.
Any inappropriate behavior, remarks, gestures, or requests of a sexual, offensive, or disruptive nature will result in:

  • Immediate termination of the session

  • No refund

  • Possible refusal of future service

  • Reporting to authorities where required under UAE law

We are committed to maintaining a respectful and safe space for both guests and therapists.

3. Health Disclosure & Contraindications

Massage is NOT recommended (Contraindicated) if you have:

  • Fever (above 38.5°C) or any acute infection/contagious disease

  • Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) or history of blood clots

  • Severe osteoporosis or broken/fractured bones

  • Uncontrolled heart disease, hypertension, or diabetes (especially with fainting, palpitations, severe headache, or nausea)

  • Inflamed, infected, or open wounds

  • Chronic ulcers or recent surgical wounds

  • Active cancer (unless medically approved)

Massage may be given with caution (Relative Contraindications) in cases of:

  • Pregnancy

  • Elderly guests or children

  • Controlled diabetes (especially with poor circulation)

  • Varicose veins or phlebitis

  • Use of anticoagulants (blood thinners) or bleeding disorders

  • Areas with implants, joint replacements, or recent cosmetic/reconstructive procedures

For safety reasons, therapists may:

  • Modify techniques

  • Adjust pressure

  • Avoid specific areas

  • Decline or discontinue treatment

4. Booking Policy & 15-Minute Grace Period

Punctuality
Please arrive on time. Late arrival may result in a shortened session to avoid impacting subsequent appointments.
Grace Period
A 15-minute grace period is provided. Arrivals beyond this period may be treated as a No-Show.
Right to Decline
Haleemah reserves the right to decline service if any undisclosed health condition or safety concern makes the treatment inappropriate.

5. Refund & Cancellation Policy

Refunds are processed according to the following schedule and may be subject to applicable transaction or administrative fees:

  • More than 6 hours notice → Full refund

  • 2–6 hours notice → 10% deduction

  • Less than 2 hours notice → 25% deduction

  • No-Show / Arrival beyond grace period → 25% deduction

Approved refunds may take 7–14 business days depending on banking procedures.

6. Rescheduling Policy

One complimentary reschedule is permitted if requested before the appointment time.
Subsequent changes will follow the standard cancellation policy.

7. Waiver of Liability & Disclosure

By proceeding with this booking, you confirm that:

  • You have read and understood this policy.

  • You are in suitable health to receive treatment.

  • You have disclosed all relevant medical information accurately.

Failure to disclose relevant health conditions may increase the risk of adverse effects and may result in refusal of service.
To the fullest extent permitted under applicable UAE law, Haleemah Thai Massage, its legal entities, management, and therapists shall not be held liable for injury, illness, or adverse effects resulting from:

  • Undisclosed medical conditions

  • Inaccurate health information

  • Pre-existing conditions

  • Failure to follow professional advice

Nothing in this clause excludes liability where such limitation is prohibited by UAE law.

8. Medical Disclaimer

Massage services are provided for relaxation and wellness purposes only and do not replace professional medical diagnosis or treatment.If you are uncertain about your suitability for massage therapy, please consult your physician prior to booking.
